Why this exists
Some images cannot be replaced.
Photographs, negatives, slides, documents, and artworks are more than objects. They are records of people, places, creative work, and cultural memory. When they deteriorate, disappear, or remain trapped in inaccessible formats, part of that history disappears with them.
pyxartis exists to bring museum-grade care to film, fine art, and archival imaging. Preserve Forward extends that mission beyond paid client work by supporting preservation projects that serve artists, families, nonprofits, educators, and local communities.
What we commit to

Support artists
We help emerging photographers, students, and working artists access high-quality scanning and reproduction tools that can strengthen their portfolios, exhibitions, and long-term archives.
Reduce waste
We are developing a lower-waste imaging workflow through responsible packaging, equipment reuse, e-waste recycling, and more transparent studio practices.

Nominate
Customers, artists, nonprofits, schools, and community members can nominate an archive, artist, collection, or preservation project.

Review
pyxartis reviews nominations based on cultural value, urgency, community benefit, and project feasibility.

Preserve
Selected projects receive donated or discounted scanning, digitization, restoration preparation, or reproduction support.
04
Report
We publish simple impact updates showing what was preserved, who was helped, and how the work contributes to long-term access.

Customer participation
Every order can help preserve more.
Customers will be invited to support Preserve Forward through selected campaigns, donation options, nomination opportunities, and seasonal preservation drives. The goal is simple: make professional imaging work part of a larger preservation effort.
Nominate a project
Suggest an archive, artist, or collection that deserves museum-grade preservation. Anyone can nominate — customers, friends, family, neighbors, fellow creatives.
Support a preservation campaign
From time to time we run seasonal drives focused on a single archive or community theme. Customers can chip in directly toward the donated work.
Share a story worth saving
Sometimes the right nomination is a story, not a project — a body of work no one has cataloged, a family archive no one has scanned. We want to hear those too.
